Rajeev Chauhan, Casa Verma, 4th January 2016 to 11th January 2016.

This January we had a truly fabulous holiday at the 'Varefamily' Villa in south Goa. The Villa, located in a quiet, well maintained and very 'green' complex, was very tastefully furnished and displayed a high standard of cleanliness. All the bedrooms had efficient, quiet air-conditioning (I so hate the hum that some air-cons produce). The large attractive beds had very comfortable mattresses and pillows and the housekeeping staff ensured that the linen was crisp and clean. This along with the quiet location of the villa (even though it was just a few minutes to the hub of all activities) ensured excellent sleep quality - a huge priority on a holiday.

All bedrooms had attached clean loo's and the showers had good pressure.

The Villa also came armed with a small posse of efficient, omnipresent yet unobtrusive, support staff. Apart from keeping the Villa spotlessly clean they ensured fresh produce was supplied every morning ( prawns, shark, pork, fish, fresh fruit, chilled beer) and though the open plan kitchen was well equipped we chose to stay out of it and let the kitchen staff show their prowess. We are all foodies and I can tell you - these guys can cook! In fact, unlike all previous Goan holidays where we would inadvertently have all our meals either on the beach or in some restaurant, this time round we found ourselves spending the day on the beach but drifting back to our Villa for dinner!

The Villa is located in a quiet, well secured gated community but is also less than a five minute walk to one of the nicer beaches in Goa - Cavelossim.

On the whole this would definitely rate as one of our special family holidays and an experience that I would highly recommend.  We are already making plans of going back!
